We have been in contact with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regarding the safety advisory they issued about counterfeit air bags being used at independent repair shops. For the safety of all consumers, Progressive's claim standards require that estimates written specify installation of new Original Equipment (OE) replacement of all airbags and safety restraint system components. We expect all repair shops that perform service for our customers adhere to this policy.
