Progressive Champlain Valley Fair Raffle

Sponsored by Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, 6300 Wilson Mills Road, Mayfield Village, Ohio 44143 (the “Sponsor”).

How to Enter: Progressive Champlain Valley Fair Raffle (the “Raffle”) begins on August 29, 2009 at 10:00 AM (EST) and ends on September 7, 2009 at 9:00 PM (EST) (the “Raffle Period”). To enter, visit the Progressive-sponsored booth at the Champlain Valley Fair (the “Fair”) and complete and submit an entry form. Entry forms must include the following required information in order to be valid:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Entries must be submitted before September 7, 2009 at 9:00 PM (EST). Participants may enter no more than once.

Each participant understands and agrees that, except where prohibited by law, Sponsor may use and publish the names and likenesses of winners for publicity and marketing purposes. Each participant also understands and agrees that an authorized Progressive independent insurance agency may use the entry information to contact such participant for marketing purposes.

Eligibility: The Raffle is open to all U.S. citizens ages eighteen (18) or older who are admitted to the Fair. Employees of Sponsor or its affiliates, or staff and volunteers of the Fair, and the immediate family members of all such individuals, are not eligible to participate in the Raffle.

Prizes: The prize will be as follows:

  • One (1) Participant will be selected from a random drawing to win $2,500.00.

The prize is expressly limited to the item listed above and does not include any other accessories, services, or expenses. Taxes (if any) are the responsibility of the winner. Progressive reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize is unavailable.

Drawing and Notification By September 8, 2009 at 5:00 PM (EST) the winning entries will be randomly selected from the pool of all eligible entries submitted during the Raffle Period. Participant need not be present to win. The winner will be announced on-line on September 10, 2009 at www.progressive.com/cvfair. Sponsor will notify the winner once by mail and, if necessary, once by telephone call. The prize will be mailed to the winner who responds to notification on or before September 24, 2009. If a winner does not respond to notification efforts by September 24, 2009, is found to be ineligible, or cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, that winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.

Liability/Publicity Release: The Grand Prize winner must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) within five (5) days of receipt of the Affidavit or that prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Progressive reserves the right to use the winner’s name or likeness in promotional materials.

General Conditions: All federal, state and local laws apply. Taxes if any are the responsibility of the prizewinner. Void where prohibited. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Raffle or these Official Rules. The winner and entrants agree that the Sponsor, its affiliate companies, parents, subsidiaries, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents shall not be responsible and will have no liability whatsoever for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in this Raffle including, but not limited to: any injury or damage to person or property while attending any function which is part of or related to any prize; the acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of any prize; any injury or damage to entrant’s or third person’s property related to or resulting from any part of the Raffle; or any technical malfunctions of the entry system including computer online system, computer dating mechanism, software, or any combination thereof. Sponsor shall have no liability for any illegible, damaged, lost, forged, mutilated, tampered with, incomplete, or late entries or entries not in compliance with these Official Rules and such entries will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, suspend, or amend this Raffle for any reason including but not limited to a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other cause beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the promotion.

ANY PERSON ATTEMPTING TO DEFRAUD OR IN ANY WAY TAMPER WITH OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE RAFFLE WILL BE INELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES AND MAY BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW. SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON.
