Diversity at Work

Our goal at Progressive is to reflect diversity and inclusion in all our business efforts and embed these principles in everything we do. We celebrate our employees for the people they are, the ideas they bring and the energy they invest. We help our employees realize their full potential by offering training and leadership development opportunities, and communicating openly and often with one another.

The following groups are tasked with leading and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives within our company.

Senior Diversity Council — The Senior Diversity Council serves as our governing body and is responsible for defining our overall strategy for diversity and inclusion. With full support from CEO Glenn Renwick and his Executive Team, senior leaders from Human Resources, Recruiting, Employee Experience and the chair of each business council lead this group.

Business Area Councils — We have five Business Area Councils representing each major business area at Progressive. The primary responsibility of the five Business Area Councils is to act as leaders, liaisons, and implementers of corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as specific business-area activities.

Employee Resource Groups — Progressive's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are independent, voluntary, nonprofit associations of Progressive people who have common interests. They are open to all Progressive people as resources for assisting individual development and providing additional communication opportunities among individuals, outside community resources and company leadership. They are designed to help promote an inclusive workplace by helping create and maintain a supportive, open environment, free from harassment and discrimination, and allowing all employees to contribute to their fullest potential.
