X PRIZE Teams Spotlight
Teams from all over the world have signed a letter of intent to compete in the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE. These teams range from students to start-up companies to large manufacturers, all of whom are creating production-capable, 100 MPGe (miles per gallon energy equivalent) vehicles that people will want to buy and that meet market needs for price, size, capability, safety and performance.

Constructed of over 6 inches of soft foam, which provides an estimated 1 billion tiny foam air bags for enhanced safety, Spira's patent pending technology can revolutionize the way vehicles are designed and produced. Spira believes the Progressive Automotive X PRIZE will feature new technologies that can eventually power their revolutionary chassis.
