Glenn M. Renwick

President and CEO

Glenn is president and chief executive officer of Progressive. He joined the company in 1986 and has held numerous roles at Progressive, from product manager to business technology leader. His primary responsibilities as president and CEO are to establish and uphold Progressive's Vision, Core Values, financial objectives and strategies and to assist corporate leaders in strategic planning and communication. Glenn has an undergraduate degree in mathematics and economics from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Florida.

Peter B. Lewis

Nonexecutive Chairman of the Board

Peter began working full time at Progressive in 1955. He became chief executive officer of The Progressive Corporation when it was organized in 1965, and during his time as CEO, Progressive grew to become the fourth largest private passenger auto insurance group in the United States. In 2000, Peter stepped down as CEO, and he now currently leads the board of directors to oversee company strategy, finances, operations and management. Peter is a graduate of Princeton University.

John Barbagallo

Commercial Lines Group President

John has been with Progressive since 1983, when he joined the company as a claims adjuster. Since then, he has held management positions in Claims, Sales, Operations and Marketing, and he currently heads our Commercial Lines division, which includes commercial auto insurance offerings and development. John earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Union College and his master's degree in management from Purdue University.

Jeff Charney

Chief Marketing Officer

Jeff brought more than 20 years of marketing experience when he came to Progressive in 2010 as chief marketing officer. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree from The Ohio State University.

Bill Cody

Chief Investment Officer

Bill joined Progressive in 1996 as a portfolio manager with eight years of trading experience with financial firms in New York City. He currently is the chief investment officer of Progressive Capital Management. Bill has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MBA from Columbia University.

Brian Domeck

Chief Financial Officer

Brian joined Progressive in 1987 as controller for the Central States division, and he went on to serve in numerous other roles, including general management, product management and business controllerships. He has been the chief financial officer since 2007. Brian holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Tricia Griffith

Chief Claims Officer

Tricia joined Progressive as a claims representative in 1988 and held several managerial positions in the Claims division before being named chief human resources officer in 2002. In 2008, Tricia returned to claims, this time as the Group President overseeing all of the claims functions. Tricia has a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University.

Chuck Jarrett

Chief Legal Officer

Chuck came to Progressive in 2000 as the company's chief legal officer with 17 years of business-related litigation experience with law firms in Boston and Cleveland. Chuck received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. He has a law degree from the University of Michigan and is admitted to the Ohio Bar.

Valerie Krasowski

Chief Human Resource Officer

Valerie joined Progressive in 1987 as an information system analyst and has served in a variety of roles including product manager, director of Progressive's Compensation & Benefits group and most recently, general manager of Progressive's Special Lines group, where she managed product development, pricing, and distribution for Progressive's special lines products including motorcycles, recreational vehicles, and boats. Valerie has been Progressive's chief human resource officer since 2008. Valerie has a bachelor's degree in applied science from Miami University and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College.

John Sauerland

Personal Lines Group President

John joined Progressive in 1990 as a summer intern before starting full time in 1991 as an assistant product manager in Cleveland. Since then, he has served as a product manager for several states and as a regional general manager of claims. John currently heads our Personal Lines division, which includes auto, boat, motorcycle, RV, Segway, snowmobile, and homeowners insurance offerings and development. John has a bachelor's degree in science from UCLA and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Ray Voelker

Chief Information Officer

Ray has worked in the IT division since he joined Progressive in 1985. During his tenure, he held several executive IT management positions, including call center technology executive and IT operations executive, and various application development and infrastructure technology roles. He became chief information officer in 2000. Ray has a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case.
