A Healthy Attitude

We take the notion of a healthy work environment quite literally. We believe that healthier employees are more engaged and provide even better customer service. In our six on-site medical facilities, we promote a comprehensive approach to employee health care, from wellness maintenance to treatment of disease and chronic disease management.

We also encourage a healthy culture with our 12 on-site fitness centers, therapeutic massage, and private lactation rooms for new mothers, to name a few. In 2009, our numbers show that, within a facility's five-mile radius, approximately 60% of our workforce benefitted from medical services our Health Services group provides, and more than 30% of employees were fitness center members. Spouses, partners, and dependents were welcome to use these services as well.

Together, all of us benefit because when it comes down to it, a healthy lifestyle is the best insurance. We take care of ourselves so we can take care of you.

Checking Things Out

Gina, a claims representative in Austin, Texas, acted on a Fitness Center staff member's suggestion to take advantage of our WellCheck employee screening. "I didn't think I needed to go, but looking back now, it's a good thing that I took the advice," says Gina.

A small mole on her arm looked suspicious to local dermatology clinic representatives hosting one of the information booths at the screening, and follow-up appointments revealed it to be melanoma. Thanks to the WellCheck screening, the skin cancer was found and removed before it could spread.

Says Gina: "The cancer is gone, and I am truly grateful to work for a company that takes such good care of its employees."
