Promoting paperless by planting trees
In April 2011 we kicked off a new Plant-a-Tree campaign in Florida, Louisiana and Pennsylvania. Our goal was to encourage customers to save valuable resources by going paperless. Paperless simply means they receive most of their policy and billing documents electronically, rather than in hardcopy form.
Throughout the summer, as part of the campaign, the National Arbor Day Foundation planted a tree for every Progressive auto customer in these states who enrolled in our Paperless and e-Signature options.
This campaign follows on the heels of our first Plant-a-Tree campaign in 2008. That campaign resulted in 1.5 million customers choosing our paperless options, and that many trees being planted in national forests across the U.S.
Sweetening the deal to go paperless, in many states we now offer a discount for choosing the option.
Here’s how we can work together to be more sustainable:
Together, we’ll grow a forest.
In recent years, we partnered with the National Arbor Day Foundation on various campaigns to plant a tree for every Progressive auto customer in designated states who enrolled in our Paperless and e-Signature options.
