If you’ve read our blog posts this week about the Progressive App for iPhone, you probably know it well. We’ve told you how to download it and given you a few examples of what you can do with it:

• Report a claim.
• Get car shopping tips or compare insurance costs.
• Pay a bill.

Now it’s your turn to talk to us … tell us what you think of our App. Do you have any suggestions?

The press release says there is a mobile version of the web site for us schmucks who use a lowly Blackberry...but the URL is not provided in the article. Can you post the URL for the Progressive mobile website?

@Brian Moore, there IS a mobile Web site, and it's pretty similar to our iPhone App. To get to it, you just type our regular URL, www.progressive.com, into the address bar of your mobile Web browser, and the site will detect that you're visiting from a mobile device. Then, you'll be automatically directed to the mobile site. Hope you enjoy!

if i have a claim, can i send you photos of the accident through the phone? also will you text or email me with status updates on my claim? will i be able to view the status of my claim through the mobile app?

@Celeste Thanks for your questions. In terms of photos—the answer is yes. When you report a claim using our App for iPhone, you’ll have the option to submit photos of the accident that you’ve taken with your iPhone. In terms of tracking a claim—at this time, you’ll need to visit the full version of our Web site, progressive.com, and log into your policy to view the status of a claim.

Pretty slick app! I like the animations. Does the app use the accelerometer at all?

I entered an old policy and it will not let me modify or delete it? and I can't add a new one either.
