Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to make someone you care about feel special—including, perhaps, your four-wheeled sweetheart.
But what gift appropriately communicates “you’re always there for me” to your car? How about a little bit of pampering? Even the burliest of trucks will appreciate it—and it helps keep vehicles in good shape.
Try one, or all, of these ideas:
Take your car to the car wash, or if weather and time permits, do the job yourself. Clean off the dirt, salt, bird droppings, and other contaminants that build up over time—and erode paint and metal. Treat your car to regular washings if possible to maintain a clean exterior.
Wax it. Take a towel, some wax and a little elbow grease, and buff your car’s exterior. Not only will this bring out your car’s sparkle—which could be hidden under snow—it’ll also help protect its paint from the elements.
Freshen up the interior with a thorough vacuuming. Also, wipe down surfaces and clean the glass. If you'd like, try this handy trick to keep it smelling fresh: Place dryer sheets under your driver’s and front passenger’s seats.
