Our claims representatives—whether they're in the field, at one of our service centers or on the phone—make good on our promise to get customers back on the road fast.

And whatever the role, each representative has a chance to cultivate a variety of skills.

Ask a few of our claims representatives about the variety of things they get to do, and you'll hear things like:

  • Talking to a customer immediately after an accident, and giving him the confidence that everything will be alright.
  • Researching the details of an accident by pulling police reports and other information.
  • Hashing out the details of a repair estimate with a body shop owner, coming to an agreement you're both satisfied with.

Hi, I'm Billy. I'm a Claims Adjuster with Progressive Insurance.

When someone gets involved into an accident, in some instances people will have an injury that they need to make a claim for.

That claim would come to someone like myself. I will work with that person to resolve any kind of injury claim, walk them through the process, let them know what to expect and how to handle any kind of situations that may arise that they would have questions about.

In the work, there's gonna be a big customer service role where you're working with a lot of different people. There's different personalities, there's different circumstances and situations and anytime you're trying to have a good connection with someone, you want to be on top of everything and proactive with them.

I've been here about six and a half years now. I've been working with Progressive. Progressive and Austin I feel like go hand-in-hand with each other.

I keep Austin weird. I feel like I am a normal person with a little bit of weirdness that I can get by and, uh, make it here.

What I've enjoyed most is all the different people that I've been able to work with.

I knew I was gonna have job security 'cause they are a very large company, and I feel like the pay is competitive. I really enjoy the stress-free time off to where you don't worry about any work while you're outta here, so you don't have to think about it.

And then, also, lots of different personalities coming together.

A lot of my co-workers we do hang out with each other outside of just work, too, and just our personalities mesh very well to where I care about people I work with, and hopefully, they feel the same way.
