RV picnic destinations

Picnicking—a classic part of the RV experience. From the homemade mac and cheese to the time spent in the great outdoors, there’s nothing better. You could head out to any old picnic site, but we have some we think you’ll love.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater

Located in Morrison, CO, this picnic spot is perfect for the adventurer. You can park your RV and eat along the mountainside or take blanket and enjoy the spacious amphitheater (as long as there are no concerts going on). Either way, you’ll be sure to enjoy your picnic with stunning views of the large red rocks.

Walden Pond

Not far outside of Boston, you’ll find this picturesque picnic spot. It’s lush green trees and large body of water makes it the perfect RV get-a-way. Don’t believe us? Henry David Thoreau thinks so too. He wrote his memoir, “Walden,” about his time near Walden Pond.

Point Reyes National Seashore

We wouldn’t miss an RV picnic spot on the beach and Point Reyes National Seashore, in Inverness, California is the perfect place. Right up against the Pacific Ocean, you can listen to the waves and work on your tan all while dining on your favorite picnic foods.

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Right in the heart of urban Minneapolis, this sculpture park is a great way to enjoy a picnic in the city and only a short walk from nearby RV spots. There, you can get to know the art scene, view over 40 unique sculptures and get a look at the city’s skyline. Plus, the parks hours, 6am to midnight, make it easy to picnic day or night.

Olympic National Park

With rainy forests, large mountains and sunny beaches, Olympic National Park in Port Angeles, WA, offers tons of ways to picnic. You can roam wherever your RV takes you and eat at one or more of the park’s many beautiful backdrops.

But these aren’t the only good picnic spot. You can use these websites to find even more. Or get out there and find one yourself.
