Nov. 28, 2006 — The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies, the third largest auto insurance group in the country and second largest in Georgia, opens its third Service Center in the Atlanta area offering a new level of service that reduces drivers' time spent dealing with accident repairs from about four days to about 15 minutes. Progressive's new Decatur Service Center offers Progressive Direct and Drive Insurance from Progressive customers, as well as anyone involved in a claim with them, the choice of using a "concierge" level of claims service in which Progressive manages the claims/repair process from start to finish on their behalf.
The new Service Center is located at 2874 E. Ponce De Leon Ave. in Decatur. Today, 51 Progressive Service Centers are open in the U.S. including three in Georgia.
While Service Centers are available for repairable cars, there's another concierge level of claims service available to Georgia drivers for cars declared total losses. Called Total Loss Concierge, Progressive helps find a replacement car if a vehicle is declared a total loss after an accident that is, if the damaged car would cost more to fix than it's worth.
Both services drastically reduce the amount of time each driver has to spend repairing or replacing his or her car after a crash.
