Hear from the Automotive X PRIZE Winners

The Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE, a competition to drive more choices in safe, affordable and super fuel-efficient vehicles, started with 111 teams and 136 vehicles. Today, we’re celebrating the three teams who won in their respective classes: Li-Ion Motors Corp, X-Tracer Team Switzerland, and Edison 2.

Are You a Fuel Efficient Driver?

This September, the world’s most promising super fuel efficient vehicles will be revealed through the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE competition.

Our Automotive X PRIZE competition moves into the Knockout Stage today, and the 22 remaining teams will need their vehicles to meet or exceed a 67 MPGe fuel efficiency target, plus specific emissions and range standards, in order to qualify for the last stage.

This fall, the world’s most promising super fuel-efficient vehicles will be revealed when the winners of the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE are announced.

The last leg of the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE starts this week at the Michigan International Speedway, and at Progressive, we’re all pretty excited because this means we’re getting closer to seeing vehicles that exceed 100 MPGe in the automotive market.

Meals on Wheels It’s Not, but Our Latest Outreach Project Does Involve Food and Motorcycles

Corn for Kids is based on a simple idea. We roast ears of corn, serve them up free at motorcycle rallies, and then suggest that those who eat them make a donation to help fight hunger among kids and families. We test drove the project for the first time this fall, at 13 rallies cross-country, and were thrilled with the support we got.
