What is Snapshot and how do I enroll?

To learn about Snapshot, please visit our website. If Snapshot is available in your state, you can sign up online:

New customers: Enroll when you get your Progressive quote.

Existing customers: Log in to your policy to find out if you're eligible to enroll. If you're already enrolled in Snapshot, you can get help online plugging in or resetting the device, or you can call 1-800-PROGRESSIVE.

How do I access my policy online?

First, register for online access; it only takes a few minutes. Then, you can log in to update your policy, make a payment, get proof of insurance, report a claim and more.

I registered for online policy service, but didn't get my password yet. How long does it take?

If you gave us an e-mail address when you registered, you should've gotten your password immediately. Otherwise, you'll get your password in the mail, which takes up to seven days. If you still haven't gotten a password, access your policy here.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Access your policy here. We'll ask you a few questions, then reset your password.

Why can't I register my policy?

There are three reasons you might not be able to register:

  1. We can't find your policy. Double-check that you correctly entered your information, including: policy number; ZIP code (make sure it matches the ZIP on your current insurance policy); birth date; and driver's license number.
  2. You chose a user ID that's taken. Go back and try another one.
  3. Your policy might not be effective yet, if you didn't buy it online. Wait until you get your policy packet in the mail, then register online.

How do I combine my policies, so I can access all of them with one user ID and password?

First, log in with the user ID and password you want to use for all your polices. Then, select “Edit Profile” to register your other policies.

How do I change my vehicle or driver information?

Just log in to your policy and go to the policy section to make these changes. You can quickly quote first to see how they might impact your rate.

How do I change my address?

Simply log in to your policy and go to the policy section to update your address. You can update your phone number or e-mail if necessary, too.

How do I make a payment?

You can make a payment with a check, credit card or PayPal account, or set up electronic funds transfer (EFT), which means we'll deduct payments automatically from your bank account. Simply log in to your policy and go to the billing section.

How will I know you received my online payment?

We'll e-mail you a confirmation number and payment summary once you pay your bill. We process credit card and check payments the same day you make them, and update your billing information within 24 hours. Then, you can log in to your policy to view your payment history.

How can I add Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) online?

Log in to your policy and go to the billing section. Select the amount you want to pay now by check; then, provide your bank account information. Next, you can set up automatic withdrawals for future payments, as long as that option is available to you. Last, you'll authorize the EFT payment option, and we'll mail you a revised payment schedule.

How do I change my Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) information online?

Log in to your policy and go to the billing section. From here, you can stop EFT payments and/or change your bank account.

NOTE: You can submit new EFT information anytime. However, it could take us several days to update your information, so please make any changes as least two business days before your next scheduled payment.

How do I print/order identification cards or declarations pages online?

Log in to your policy and go to the documents section.

NOTE: We don't provide temporary ID cards online in every state.

Yes, please report every accident to us, even if it wasn't your fault. Contact us anytime your vehicle gets damaged, too.

Can you answer a question about my claim?

How do I join your network of repair shops?

You can apply online — and learn more about our network of repair shops — on progressive.com.

Can I report my accident by fax?

No, please report your claim by logging in to your policy, using your mobile device, or calling 1-800-PROGRESSIVE(1-800-776-4737).

How can I become a Roadside Assistance provider?

We work with Cross Country Automotive Services to provide Roadside Assistance. Call Cross Country at 1-800-541-2262 or visit their Web site to apply to become one of our providers.

How do I use my Roadside Assistance coverage?

If you bought Roadside Assistance coverage from us, just call 1-800-776-2778, anytime, to use it. (Consider saving this number in your mobile phone.) We'll verify your name and policy number, then send someone to help you.
