With Photo Estimate,* if eligible, you have the option to get your estimate without needing an appointment for an inspection. Instead, you can take and submit photos and video of your damage anytime in the next few days after you file your claim.

Here’s how to get started:

Once the claim is filed, we’ll determine if you’re eligible to use our Photo Estimate tool. If you qualify, you’ll be presented with an invitation code to start the process. Keep in mind that your invitation code will expire in seven days.

  1. Your rep will ask for some information about your claim to determine if you're eligible for our Photo Estimate tool. If so, they'll send you an invitation code via text message. You'll need to download the app, log in, select the claims section, and open the Photo Estimate tool. Once that’s done, you'll enter the invitation code to start the process.

    Filing a claim through our mobile app

    Once you’ve submitted your claim using our mobile app, we'll determine if you're eligible for the Photo Estimate tool. If so, you'll be presented with an invitation code within the app to start the process. You can either start the process immediately or wait for a more convenient time.

  2. The app will walk you through the process of taking photos and video of the damage to your vehicle, and you can even add comments to tell us more about the damage. When you’re finished, click the upload button to send us your photos and videos. Standard data rates may apply.

  3. Once you’ve uploaded your photos and video and sent them to us, we’ll review them and assess the damage to your vehicle. We’ll complete your estimate within a few days and send you a copy via email.

The decision to repair is yours—and it’s OK to not repair your vehicle. If you finance or lease your car, your lender may require you to get the repairs. If you decide to repair your vehicle, you can choose a shop in our approved Progressive Network or any other shop you’d like. At our approved network of shops, we’ll guarantee your repairs for as long as you own or lease your vehicle. Just call your claims rep to start the process.
