Some of our coverages
Full replacement cost and no depreciation for parts
If you’re in a covered accident, we'll always return your bike to pre-accident condition or better.
Example: Let's say that your five-year-old front tire with 10,000 miles on it gets damaged. Based on the tread remaining, its depreciated value is $50, but you need a new one that costs $250. We'll pay the full $250, not the depreciated value.
Total loss coverage for a brand-new bike
This optional coverage is available if your bike is no more than one model year old on a new policy, and two model years old during a renewal of a total loss coverage policy. If it's totaled, we'll give you the full MSRP for a new motorcycle, minus your deductible.
Example: You buy a motorcycle for $15,000, but it gets totaled when it’s only worth $10,000. We pay to replace it with the latest model — even if it costs more than $15,000. If your bike is no longer eligible for total loss coverage at renewal, we’ll still cover the cash value of your bike.
Gear and personal belongings
You can add coverage for just about all personal property you carry on your motorcycle if it's damaged or stolen. This includes camping gear, safety gear, and even your cell phone.
Example: Your smartphone is damaged in a covered accident while carried in your saddlebag. We pay to replace it, minus your deductible.
Enhanced injury protection
If you’re injured in a covered motorcycle mishap and can’t work, we’ll pay you up to $250 per week for up to two years. If you’re involved in a fatal motorcycle accident, Progressive will pay $25,000 to your beneficiaries.
Example: You fall off your bike and fracture your leg. You won’t be able to work for eight weeks, so your enhanced injury coverage pays you $2,000.
